Yep! Got more modep bull this morning.

Given my most recent sleeping habbits I'm first off surprised I was even able to get up today! Being Sunday I planned on going to Church, especialy since I missed last weeks sermon becouse of my cousins being down here.

Well to help wake me up I turned on my CD player and listened to my new Skillet album that I got for Christmas. The music was really getting me pumped up for the day and I felt REALLY good!

Also because of Christmas I had gotten some new clothes so for once I actually took the time to try a on a few things and to have a good appearance, mybe with a little style too.

Then as I wa about to leave I couldn't find my good pair of sun glasses. Not the worse thing in the world. I moved on grabbing another pair.

Well when I got to the moped, after putting on my gloves and helmet, I went to start it and guess what? The FRIGGIN throttle was completely seased!!! It WOULD NOT turn AT ALL!!! As much as I tried it would not budge! To say I'm livid is a gross understatement! My ONE and ONLY form of motorized transportation unusable.

I don't know what caused it, perhaps rust? Well I drove in earlier last week! Perhaps the fuel lines are frozen or there's alot of frost maybe? I don't F@#$*%&% know! What I do know is that this has COMPLETELY RUINED my day!

IDK maybe depression *shrugs*

Hey guys.

I'm not trying to start the new year off on a sour note, not at all. Rather I just wasnt to keep you guys informed oabout my life and to let my friends know I'm alive! ^^;

Anyway for the past few week my sleeping habbits have gone WAY out of wack! I can't sleep at night for some reason and stay up to nearly 7 in the morning! Although I set three alarms and I'm able to get up to turn them off, for some reason I don't get up and sleep the whole day away and get up between 4 and 5 pm.

This is driving me mad! I hate wasting the day away like that! I've tried going to bed earlier but it will still take me HOURS to actualy fall asleep. :faint:

The next thing I can think of is to stay up ALL night and day and go to bed at a decent hour the next night. I don't know what's causing this. Possibly depression but I don't really feel depressed. As stated from my previous journal I've been emotionaly down but not depressed.

But I do look forward to next week, me and a friend are planing a day trip to the "Antique Barn" which is like the most AMAZING hobby shop I've EVER SEEN!!!!! :eager:
I've mentioned it before and its quite some time away, 3 hours and 35 minutes acording to MapQuest. But its worth the drive! The store almost EXCLUSIVELY sells model trains! Forgive me for this somewhat vulgar analogy but its like a Model Railroader's Wet Dream! ^^;

In the upstairs area they have a MASSIVE 20 or 30ft by 100 something foot HO scale layout!!! Sadly its only open to the puplic on weekends.

But the store itself is fantastic, they pretty much have the entire Walthers catolog in stock there!!! :omfg:

Its been a long time but last time I went they even had the no longer made MDC Shay kits in both HO AND HOn3!!! and they were under $60!!! :eager:

I was originlay going to get one for HO but then I found an MDC HOn3 Outside Frame 2-8-0 kit on Ebay so now I'm stuck as to what I want. If I can I'd really like the 2-8-0 and then pick up a section of flextrack to put it on from the Antique Barn. But if I can't I plan on getting the shay as a fallback. ;p

But still I'd REALLY LIKE that HOn3 2-8-0. I know its not On30 but I'm still a Model Train collector! ;p The question then what to letter it for. I want it to be a ficticious road, I was thinking the Devil's Gulch & Hellingon Rwy in tribute to John Allen's HOn3 short line on his famous "Gorre & Dephetid" Railroad.

Anyway, that's all for now so I'll Catch Ya' Latter!!!

Belated Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!!!

Hey guys!

Yeah, I meant to post this sooner but "things" kinda kept me from doing it.

So I wish and hope you all had a Very Merry Christmas! Mine was pretty good, I mostly got new clothes wich I appreciate because I do need them. I got $50 from my aunt when she and my two cousins came dow to visit over the week end. We stayed at a local resort hotel and we mostly chilled in the only working hot tub. (even though there were 4 of them ^^; )

I aslo got a $100 check for my uncle, I'm hoping to get an HOn3 MDC outside frame 2-8-0 kit with it. If I can't find one soon I'll get an MDC 2 truck Shay kit, standard gauge. But one of, if not the best, gift I got was a 70th Anniversery Special Collectors edition 5 disc box set for the Wizard Of Oz! IT IS AMAZING, full of amazing special features, fully digitaly restored. (I had no idea that they really used burlap texture on Scare Crow's face!)

It came in a terrific collectors box and has a book on both the film and the history of it and the childrens book which inspired the movie. Also it came with reproductions of the campane book and film paper work. And also it came with an exclusive collectors watch! It is VERY NICE!!!

Overall my holiday was, well, ok. Sadly me and my girlfriend are no longer. Well to beter descibe our relationship we are now more like close friends, which we are. At least that's how I feel about it. I'm not bothered by the fact that our relationship has been down graded but again I don't have a special someone so melloncholy has been seting in.

I'm sure that I would feel better about the holidays if it weren't the for emotional stuff, as small as if is. But it was nice having my cousins over, its just not the same not seeing them on a regular basis like when I still lived up North. Their shananagins always brightened everyone's day and made us laugh till our sides hurt.

And Wow! The new year has really come up on us quick hasn't it! Its almost hard to believ! As for my New Year's Revolution I will finish "Gunpowder Falls" chapter 1! (Take note, NOT VOLUME 1) Once finished I'll have it copied and bound in a nice presentable book to sent to a publisher. I have almost no boubt that they will show interest! "GF" is very similar in tone and style to what this particular publisher likes to print.

Anyway, I hope your holidays have been great and full of joy! As a quick note I tyried Alcoholic Egg Nog for the first time! Didin't expect the slight burning feeling as it went down. ;p

Well until later, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Hey guys,

I really hope I don't end up sounding like a jerk or anything but there's a few things I'd like to get off my chest.

Recently I've become rather popular with my art here. People are Faving my stuff left and right and more and more people are watching me. All of that I cannot begin to say how much I appreciate that! But as an artist I like to know that my work is appreciated!

With EVERY thing I've posted, whether it be a story, drawing, character design, comic teaser, or whatever... I ALWAYS PUT "COMMENT IF YOU FAV!!!". And if it dosen't that's a failure on my part.

But, what that MEANS is that if you do not intend on commenting my work DON'T FAV IT!!! Personaly I don't think that its too much to ask, do you? I work VERY hard and pour myself into what I do, its a passion and I want to make it my career one day!

Granted I haven't been up to par myself. I'm more than guilty of faving and not commenting. Usually because I'm in a hurry and planned to comment later or something like that. But when I fav someone's work I try to leave an intelegent comment behind about why I like it and so on. Maybe even something cute and entertaining as well.

Now for those who haven't commented due to some other mysterious force or twist of fate that I am unaware of I appologise. Another reason that I may not have commented is that a while back I was going through some really hard times. (I was homeless) the only access to the internet was the library and they are really lame because they have a set time limit.

Thankfully I've been able to get online on a more regular bassis. But as for you watchers if you don't really care about my art and just think "Oh, that looks kool. *favs*" I'd like to respectfully ask that you stop watching. I wouldn't say its personal but really, give credit where credit is due. And don't leave a really simple one liner like "Its Kool" just so Technicallt you left a comment. If your someone like that then please, I ask you, stop watching me. I really hate to ask that but it really has come to this point.

And for those of you who do actually care and really appreciate my work I urge to start commenting when you fav. You'd be surprised how a simple intellegent comment can lead into a VERY interesting disscusion! You may even learn something from me and I learn something from you!

And also if your one of the few who do care PLEASE comment on this journal entry. I want to know who really does appreciate my art and stories.

Again, I hope I don't seem like some kinda jerk. It just really bothers me is all. I can understand not reading journals occasionaly but when you Fav someone's art, they usualy would like to hear something supportive or constructive.

Yay Diorama Shtuffs!!!

Hey guys!

Yep, las week I was finaly able to get most of my Diorama supplies bach from my friend's place. The only thing missing is the "Ripplin' Water" kit.

But for the most part I have almost everything I need to work on it! I applologize for I can't really take any Progress Pics, my camera still doesn't have a battery despite my constat reminder to my Mom. But for some reason she bought cork board for me which I had mentioned off and on for the diorama, but it was the wrong thickness. (too thick to be more specific)

Anyway I've decided to add things to my diorama, originaly it was just going to be a water stop along a lonsome single track main line in the middle of an arid desert. But after that cache of Old Time buildings and rolling stock it gave me the opertunity to add a little more interest. I also decided to add an old wooden railroad crossing. I had some spare change and bought some bass wood at a craft store. The wood peices are small enough to be scale lumber and I cut and glued 4 of them together side by side. Then with an Xacto Knife I sribed in where supposed boards would have met. Then with my .005 pen I carefully added "nails" to the surface. This part is meant to go in between the rails, since I have no cork for roadbed I'll have to wait to do the approaches. But I then mixed a stain of flat grey and thinner. I had tried alcohol before and was like mixing oil and water.

This was really the first time trying these tecniques and the what I have of the crossing looks good but it doesn't look quite as "aged" as I had hoped. I was going for that grey Sun Bleached look. but for a first attempt I think I did rather well.

I also took on of the smaller old time buildings, a "Post Office", and had begun repainting it. These buildings were build from REALLY OLD Kibri Kits. As far as I would tell they were German, anyway...

The parts were all pre-colored plastic and not the nice kind. The color wasn't consistant, it was mostly a dark or forest green but it also had swirls of brown, pale blue, and other colors. Well since this little building is going to be in the middle of the desert I figured I's give it a better look. The roof lookes like it was supposed to be Tar Paper or something of the sort so I've sprayed it flat black. Then I gave the sides t coats of Flat Tan. Unfortunately the tan I have is a darker shade than I was expecting. I may mix a lighter shade if I can't find one and then I'll give the whole thing a black wash. The stove pipe I'll color Gunmetal and then use a combination of red and orange coloring chalks to similate rust. I'll also make some "sand" to dust my buildings with to make them more at home in the desert.

If I can take some pictures I will certainly post them ASAP. Also I'm working a drawing to show you my vision for the diorama, "Mojave Tanks".

Oh, and one more thing! I've also recently decided to add telegragh poles and lines. I know how I can my own poles but what should I use for the wires, Black or Grey thread. Also, do any of you know where I can get HO scale old style Glass Insolators? :?
