Wow... About time I actually posted something isn't it!! ;p

Anyway, this is one of my "What If" locomotive designs. The idea behind this one is what if a Mason Bogie working on a particular railroad ended up in a wreck and the railroad then rebuilt the engine as a 2-6-0 tender loco? Well I believe I captured what the end result would be quite well!

The paint scheme was actually the biggest challenge rather than the drawing itself. Since I plan on building an HOn3 layout I worked on a paint scheme for what our locomotives will have. A similar scheme to my Empire River & Western. This one was made more colorful simply because the engine "used" to be a 2-6-6 Mason Bogie. And I like the brightly colored schemes they applied to them.

My one grip in terms of the scheme are the tender mounted air tanks. Originally I was going to color the tender entirely black and so I painted the tanks blue, but then I changed my mind and now I think the tanks would look better being black. That way it balances out better.

I would LOVE to try and build this in On30, though HOn3 will be a bit of a challenge. Well anyway, I hope you guys like it! PLEASE leave comments, you know that I like to hear what you think!! :iconfoxyayzplz:

maybe it's just the drawing, but it's looks small enough to fit in someone's back yard. Ever heard of Ward Kimball?

And his Grizzly Flats Railroad, consisiting of a two 0-4-2 Baldwin locos. #1, "Chloe" and #3, "Olomana". And his 1882 Baldwin 2-6-0, the "Emma Nevada" (formerly of the Nevada Central NG) and its passenger coach, "#5". (formerly of the Colorado & Carson)

Nope, never heard of Ward Kimball! ;p :iconfoxhahaplz:

I went to Ward's place and rode the Grizzly Flats Railroad a couple of times before he passed away. He was quite a character and had an awesome collection of toy trains. :D
