Wow, my scanner is the ultimate critic! The finished drawing came out a little sloppier than I like. The scanner didn't do much to help either. (magnified is mor the word)
I'll try to post a "Cleaner" pic of this later, but for now it will sufice. This is more of a reference drawing for anyone who wished to draw my character/fursona "Deadeye". ASK PERMISSION FROM ME FIRST One of the main and key elements are his weapons. Here are his weapons of choice, though he has quite a veriatey of weapons in his arsenal.
Starting from the bottom is Deadeye's favored guns. He will often carry as many as FOUR of these pistols on his person! They are "Top Break" style revolvers bored to shoot .45 Long ammunition. They are called Top Breaks because if you look closely you will see that the barrel is attatched to the frame via a "hinge". Also note that there is a latch just in front of the hammer. By pulling back this latch and with the flick of the holder's wrist the barrel and cylender "Break" forward. This movement also ejects "spent" shells. This design is not quite as strong as a typical "Ridged Frame" design, but the reload time is MUCH faster which is crucial in a gun fight.
If you thought that the "Buntline Special" ( [link] ) was a revolver on steroids wait until you learn about this next pistol. At the top is one of, if not, the most dangerous weapons in the recieving end. This is the "Longshot" Revolver, a MASSIVE pistol designed to shoot .50 caliber high power rifle rounds! If there's such a thing as a Hand Cannon this is it! This gun pack enough fire power to shoot through 4 inch thick iron doors and has an accurate range equal to that of a carbine or rifle! This is also one of the rarest revolvers in the world as well. Only 5 were ever produced. Shortly after the 5 pistol was sold reports of severe wrist, neck, and head injuries were heard. And one fatality due the the imense recoil causing the revolver to comeback and fracture the shooter's skull. An imeadiate recall was sent out. All but one pistol was returned, the 5th dissapeared. Until oneday Deadeye was browsing a bazar in a remote desert town. He caught site of the gun out of the corner of his eye. Sunlight reflected off of a small portion of the polished steel that wasn't covered in dust. Deadeye bought the gun next to nothing, the owner thought the gun was worth a lot.
Anywho, I hope you enjoyed the "stories" of these guns as well as the guns themselves. PLEASE COMMENT IF YOU FAVE!!!!
